Pledging for 2014 - a letter from The Network Church board

The Network Church board has prepared the following letter for all of our supporters, asking you to consider how you might be able to support us in 2014. Take some time to read and pray about what you can give.

---------------------------------

Dear Network Church supporter,

The Network Church board is preparing a budget for 2014 as part of our process for becoming a registered charitable organization. Preparing the budget is also an exciting time for us to plan how to best use our financial resources to carry out the ministry of The Network Church.

To help us out with this planning process, we’re asking you to prayerfully consider what you can give during 2014, and to pledge that amount in the attached form. This pledge is by no means a contract; rather, it’s your own personal commitment to the ministry of The Network Church. You can even submit your pledge anonymously.

The Network Church Constitution divides our budget into two main categories: an administrative category, which includes any staff salaries, equipment purchases, building rentals and other administrative costs; and an outreach category, which includes co-operative (i.e., supporting other organizations), benevolence (i.e., supporting people in need), and community building (i.e., building relationships with our local community) activities. We ask that you consider what portion of your pledge you want to allocate to each category. While you’re free to pledge whatever percentage you want to each category, in accordance with our Constitution, the administrative budget will never exceed more than 25% of the total budget.

Please submit your pledge by our celebration service on Sunday, September 8th.

Thank you so much for your support!
